This villa was SPECTACULAR! Absolutely perfect for our group of 4, and Imerovigli was the perfect town for us to stay.
Svati was an amazing host and was fully invested in making sure our time there was perfect. She kept us informed and offered her help in every situation. She stopped by every morning and replied to every query we had. She made a dinner reservation for us one evening and sent us a dessert at the end which was a nice touch.
Svati coordinated all rides and transfers so we didn’t have to worry or even think too much about how to get around. This was a nice brain break for us.
Svati made sure we were cared for, but also gave us the privacy we appreciate.
Our chef Peter was great. The food was absolutely delicious. We would’ve been happy to have him cook for us every single night but wanted to visit the restaurants too. Peter’s food was restaurant quality and he handled it all by himself. He really thought about who he was serving and tried to make healthy, local choices for as many ingredients as possible. He made a “cheesecake” with traditional goats milk yogurt that was delicious. We haven’t stopped talking about it since we returned. He was so humble and kind.
Our breakfast each morning was wonderful. It was such a large amount of food we felt guilty sometimes, but they wrapped up some of it for us to have for snacks around the pool later which was great. Our housekeeper Larissa was very efficient and made sure we liked everything before offering it the next day. She also did our laundry once which was helpful.
The outdoor space was perfect for friends who wanted to hang out. From a privacy perspective, we felt we had more than the other villas we saw when walking around in Oia and Fira. We had more outdoor space than many of the neighboring hotels!
We were thrilled with SALT boat trips. Our days with Captain Theo were our favorite of the whole trip. He was perfect; knowledgeable, warm, kind, funny. 5 stars. It was the best way to see the area. We had 3 full days with him so we really got to know him.
Spiros was our guide for the excavation tour of Akrotiri. He was so knowledgeable had a real passion for his work. He is an archaeologist so he had much more to offer than your typical tour guide. We very much enjoyed our time with him. 5 stars. Highly recommend.
We very much enjoyed our evening at Sigalas Winery. The food and wine pairings were thoughtful and interesting, they catered to our vegetarian friends perfectly, and our tasting host Thalania was wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxed and a bit like being at the personal winery of a friend. Highly recommend.
The sunsets were just unbelievable. We are a pretty well-traveled group and have seen many beautiful sunsets, but these were unmatched.
